For Our Clients
Thank you for visiting our website! This page is where you can come to read about tax updates and reminders for upcoming deadlines.
Reminders
To Businesses & Self-Employed Clients--
Keep this in mind throughout the year: If you pay any independent contractor (an individual or single member LLC you paid without withholding taxes) $600+ during the year for labor/services they provided for your business, you will need to provide him/her with a 1099. As a rule of thumb, you should have each independent contractor fill out a W-9 form before issuing a first payment. This will make filing 1099's at the end of the year much easier for you (and us!).
Tax Updates

New Tax Information:
Hurricane Irma Tax Relief--
Many residents and businesses in Florida have been granted an extended deadline based on the effects of Hurricane Irma. This deadline applies to filings due in 2016 after September 4th, and includes filings for individuals and businesses that had previously filed an extension for their 2016 income tax returns. If you are an individual who resides in or you have a business with primary location in Broward, Collier, Hillsborough, Manatee, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Pinellas, Pasco, or Sarasota county (or any of the others on that can be seen here), we will need your data before December to file your extended tax return by the new deadline.
Our friends & clients in South Florida have been in our thoughts, and we hope your efforts to rebuild and recover go smoothly. Please let us know if there is any way we can support you in the months to come.
